Welcome to the Community Ghost Theatre! We are a casual Destiny community for RP taking place in the Destiny game universe. The story is splitting off post-Destiny 2 Red War vanilla campaign into AU and we're very OC friendly. Feel free to hit that join button or to ping Riven if you WISH to join!

“Two hours ago, we lost contact with Fireteam Inca Dove.”

Sloane looks worn down, pepper and salt brows set into a perpetual frown and sleepless lines etched into her face. The roar of rain against the hull of Siren’s Watch is near deafening, methane stink seeping through all but the most well-sealed suits.

“They’d been sent to investigate the signs of a potential Hive ritual in the Archology. Now I’m sending you in to find out what happened to them.”

------------- II. ELSEWHERE (EARTH) -------------

Blights are swelling up all over the European Deadzone.

Devrim shows you his cup of tea with the same, bland bemusement he seems to treat most other-worldly horrors happening on his doorsteps. The water swirls oily black and glowing blue under the warm smell of earl gray.

“That was my favorite mug too,” Devrim laments.

“Find the source of these blights,” Zavala says over the comm. “And snuff them out before the Taken can establish a beachhead.”

------------- III. WHERE ARE YOU? (THE BELT) -------------

“I’ve heard whispers of the Prince’s return at the edge of the Shores.”

The words are spoken through tight lips, strained and hushed. Awoken, dressed in browns, carefully unaffiliated and so far from the Reef.

“Has he come to claim the throne?”

“Why not announce it then?”

“Maybe the queen really is still alive.”

“Please, no, no-”

Silence, the press of a hand against mouth. The station they’re on is barely neutral grounds. There aren’t a lot of neutral grounds left after the Red War.

“Come on,” says the shorter one, their eyes glimmering in the shadow cast by the half wall they’d slid behind. “Let’s go talk about this somewhere quieter.”

------------- I. EARTH -------------

A week has passed since the Traveler has reawakened.

Vast swathes of the Last Safe City lay in waste, but the smoke from the craters and burning structures have died down to nothing. Repairs are beginning to get underway, encampments set up for returning citizens who've found their homes in ruins. They're pulling bodies out from under the rubble every day, the City network filled with loved ones looking for the missing.

In the aftermath of devastation, there is a grim, bleak hope that drives the survivors on. They come together, organizing, sharing resources, beginning repairs. Where there is death, they set up shrines. Where there is ash, they set up workshops, communication arrays.

Every free, able and willing hand is put to work. They begin cleaning up the City piece by piece.

Are you here? Are you helping these people put together their homes again? Are you helping them rebuild, piece by piece?

A week has passed since the Traveler has reawakened.

All throughout the Sol system, Ghosts are beginning to bring new life forth from the Void. The Light has been returned to them and from the wellspring of power they pull upon the impressions, the physical information left behind by deaths and raise their Risen into their first lives.

But there has been a change. The Ghost network that spans the system lights up with a curious news: one of them has risen something strange. Something completely new.

A Risen that isn't human.

Another one chimes in, made brave by the first admission. Then another and another.

Are you here? Did you hear the news? Are you one of these strange new souls?

A week has passed since the Traveler has reawakened.

And maybe things have changed, but out here, away from the broken City, nothing much has really changed. The Red War came and faded: brought with it a new wave of people. Some Cabal, some Psion, some Eliksni. Some Humans of various flavors.

The Tangled Shore isn't the only place where the fringe folk come together. There is a lot of business to be done when you're moving around the carcasses of various apocalypses: the Golden Age human colony ships that didn't escape the Dark, the Wolfships spinning around Ceres, the Dreadnought orbiting Saturn and the bones of the Oryx's fleet there.

Are you here? Are you standing in a lonely colony in ass-end of nowhere? Are you picking up some seedy dealings, getting into trouble?

The community rules are pretty simple: don't harass people, don't be an arse, respect the post warnings, tag your NSFW and place it under cut. This Destiny community has canon-typical violence/horror and that ranges from gunshot wounds to full mass killing.

Assuming you're down with all of that, you can request to join the community by clicking the 'Join' button at the top of the journal and Riven will sort you out. Intro yourself and your character(s) in the Meet n' Greet and settle in. For everything else, just refer to the links and navigation bars.
